Hi Kevin. Your new blog looks nice and clean. I checked my Tutor/Mentor blog to see if links I’ve made over the past 10 years to your blog at https://dogtrax.edublogs.org/ are still working, and they do. I’d hate to lose all of those links.
What’s the primary advantage of creating your new site?
I’ve long wanted to have my own domain and not be situated under the Edublogs umbrella. Not that it was not a good fit for all those years and not that Edublogs did anything wrong. All was great. But if something were to happen and Edublogs disappeared (and you know we’ve seen that story play out), I might lose it all. Plus, as I look a few years ahead, and I am at the end of my teaching career, it makes sense to have my own blog identity.
I won’t kill off the old blog space but I won’t be paying for the Pro account status, either. That means it will prob be OK, just sitting there.
