Dragonflies are fascinating creatures. They were the prompt for this morning’s haiku.
A wisp of a wing,
the small, darting dragonfly
hovers in wonder
Peace (on the wing),
Kevin
If you don’t live it, it won’t come out of your horn. ~ Charlie Parker

I guess Ladybird books were once a thing but I don’t remember seeing them in America, so I suppose it’s more Great Britain and Europe. Our task for the Daily Create was to create new captions for images from the Ladybird books. I went into a meme creator and found a few covers, and then worked with the one with the boy and the tin can communication system. Then I saw that Sarah had used a site to create a Ladybird-themed book cover, so I tried that, too.

Our prompt for the Daily Create was to share a sunrise or sunset photo or artwork. I went back to this one from Maine, on a cold January morning, from a few years back. It was a glorious site on a frigid morning.
Peace (rising),
Kevin
I had stumbled on the Air Theremin site at some point and shared it with the DS106 community for today’s Daily Create. The site replicates the Theremin, where hand movements and gestures create sound. Neat.
Peace (going through the motions),

Peace (falling),

The prompt for the Daily Create was to find an accidental picture. This one is from a Speakeasy-themed bar in Australia and I swear, I hadn’t even had a drink before I took this one.
Peace (sliding),
Kevin

The prompt was to create a gif flag for the Daily Create.
Peace (in the wind),

Beneath the brick
I hoped would pause
the bees from their hole,
the yard’s still a-buzz
with yellow-jackets
This poem is in the form of a Gogyohka, a five line phrase poem, for Open Write.
Peace (such nuisance),
Kevin
I have many muses
singing along family lines:
my father’s drums –
my mother’s voice –
my brother’s guitar –
my grandmother’s stories –
every song is wrapped up tight
inside the threads of others
This poem is from a prompt from Open Write about legacy and lines of ancestry.
Peace (listening),
Kevin
