Daily Create: Flat Earth
The Daily Create asked us to consider Flat Earth, which led to me to a Flat Earth map site, and then I used Giphy to represent digging a hole in a Flat Earth.
Peace (down and up),

Daily Create: Boxed In
We used this interesting site — https://typeincube.com/ — for the Daily Create.

Looking Back: A Is For Airplane
A prompt for the Daily Create about paper airplanes brought me back to this very old digital story: A Is For Airplanes. It was part of an extensive digital project I coordinated with Bonnie Kaplan with National Writing Project teachers to experiment with digital storytelling, using the alphabet as inspiration for 26 small stories, which we later stitched together.
I still love this one that I did first, as a model. It’s sweet.
Peace (on the walls),
Kevin
Song: Three Miles From Nowhere
I was home from a long hike in the wood with my dog yesterday when the phrase “three miles from nowhere” began to dance around in my head. I grabbed a guitar, hit a D chord, sang that line and within 15 minutes most of this song came into being. It’s a pretty simple song — just three chords — but I like how it is turning out, and that sudden burst of creative energy is something to always cherish.
Peace (singing it),
Kevin
Daily Create: Digging The Canyon Groove
Somewhere, I stumbled on the Canyon Groove site, that allows you to make music with the contours of various mountains. So this morning, for the Daily Create, we’re creating some mountain songs.

Poetry: Summer ‘Shrooms
This is from a one word prompt for the morning: mushrooms.

Daily Create: A Ghost Poem Gif
The Daily Create had us looking at text about the Mill at Willington, and the ghost stories that come with it. I took a passage from one of the visitors of the mill to create a blackout poem, and then layered a ghost on top of it all.
Peace (boo!),
Kevin
Daily Create: Random Word Poetry

We used a random word generator for the Daily Create this morning, and then used that word (mine was “mosquito”) to build a haiku or small poem.
Peace (getting a buzz on),
Kevin
