Write Out — the place-based writing adventure — happens in October, but we’re starting to spark some interest by offering poetry prompts. I took the one from this week — with The Valley as a mentor poem — and used repetition for my own.
Peace (in the wander),
Kevin

Kevin,
Your voice is so rich and full and slow for this beautiful poem. I love the wandering and the wondering in your poem. I love the connections between each phrase, like here: “lead forward forever and ever and ever on your mind…” Lovely poem and lovely prompt, which I enjoyed receiving in my email from Write Out. It came at a perfect time as I had just gotten back from this walk to the park with my two-year-old grandson. https://mrsdkrebs.edublogs.org/2024/08/01/poetry-friday-walk-to-the-park/
(I thought I would see if you had written about it here. I wanted to come and share my poem with you and thank you for the prompt.)
Thanks for writing and sharing, Denise. Your poem is wonderful.
Kevin
