Our small city hosts an Arts Night Out once a month. Last night, it became Jazz Night Out, so we wandered around for a few hours, listening to a bunch of groups playing.
Peace (in sound),

If you don’t live it, it won’t come out of your horn. ~ Charlie Parker

This poem comes from a morning prompt phrase: waning moon.
Peace (skyward),

A prompt about trains had me revisiting this poem.
Peace (and rails),

This is for the Daily Create.
Peace (free like jazz),

Our prompt this morning at the Daily Create was to create something that celebrates the poet/writer Wendell Berry, who just passed away. I took the first stanza from one of his poems — I Go Among Trees — and worked with that. The poem captures some of the serenity of being quiet in the woods.
You can read the full poem here.
Peace (in the wood),

Both of these are from single word prompts for morning poetry writing.
Peace (in three lines),

Three rocks –
these three sisters –
lean against each other
in north Australia country
A prompt at Open Write was to write a 2-4-6-8 poem about nature, using an image for an ekphrastic poem.
Peace (in the north country),

Something wild;
watching us – watching it –
resting in a sun-spot corner
of a neighbor’s house
on a summer morning
with rabbits wandering, free –
it’s eyes seemingly only on me
An Open Write prompt had the example of a bear in the kitchen, and it reminded me of a bobcat the other day, sunning itself in the neighbor’s yard with nary a care in the world.
Peace (where the wild things are),
Kevin
A prompt at Open Write had a nature theme to it.
Peace (beneath water),
Kevin
Peace (on the beach),
