Three rocks –
these three sisters –
lean against each other
in north Australia country
A prompt at Open Write was to write a 2-4-6-8 poem about nature, using an image for an ekphrastic poem.
Peace (in the north country),

Something wild;
watching us – watching it –
resting in a sun-spot corner
of a neighbor’s house
on a summer morning
with rabbits wandering, free –
it’s eyes seemingly only on me
An Open Write prompt had the example of a bear in the kitchen, and it reminded me of a bobcat the other day, sunning itself in the neighbor’s yard with nary a care in the world.
Peace (where the wild things are),
Kevin
A prompt at Open Write had a nature theme to it.

This is for the morning prompt, to create a thanks to the MYFest folks.

The Daily Create this morning is about constellations and I was remembering a fun, cool project we did in CLMOOC in which we invented new constellations and the origin stories, and then created a night sky. I gathered some of those pieces into this short video.

My CLMOOC friend, Wendy, had sent me some manuscript music she had composed for clarinet, and suggested I might try to do something with it with my saxophone. But I found it interesting to interpret it for keyboard, in a rather avant-garde fashion, layering different sounds to capture the sense of a tree’s rings and age.
Peace (inside the bark),

This is the third original song we played at a recent open mic.

This is an original song, from an open mic night.
