Alan asked about how I frame this lesson, inspired by Kevin Kelly’s Internet Mapping Project. I wrote: It’s part of a larger lesson around how companies track us when we are online and some mitigation strategies. Then we talk about the role of technology in their lives (gaming, communication, etc). We talk about metaphors as symbols but they are free to go the literal route, too. Then, later, they write about their choices and share with the class.
